Sunday News Roundup: London Sets Men's Shows, First Look at Marni for H&M, and More

 

  • British actress Imogen Poots is the star of the upcoming  Marni for H&M campaign - first look above.  Also look for a Sofia Coppola-directed campaign video, although no specifics have been released yet. The collection launches March 8 at an H&M near you. [Fashionista]

 

  • The British Fashion Council has set a dedicated showcase of menswear, set to launch in June. London Collections: Men is slated to run ahead of the men's collections in Milan and Paris and will show June 16 and 17. The event will be semi-annual, with future dates yet to be confirmed. [WWD]

 

  • Yves Saint Laurent released Rouge Pur Couture Vernis à Lèvres - a hybrid of lipstick, gloss and stain. The revolutionary new lip product combines the texture and shine of a gloss with the long-wear of a stain. It retails for $32 and comes in 19 shades. [Sephora]

 

  • According to Antoine Arnault, son of Bernard Arnault - the founder of the luxury goods conglomerate LVMH - there is a renewed commitment to quality and beauty over logos and ostentation in menswear, driving luxury sales up. That's a good thing. [The High Low]  

 

  • Louis Vuitton opened a massive new flagship in Rome and insists we all call it Maison. [WWD]

 

  • Karl Lagerfeld not only interviewed himself for Net-a-Porter, he also lent his drawing skills to Chanel-owned winery Château Rauzan-Ségla and sketched the label of a 2009 vintage.  [FFMag]
