Color swept all trends cards this season not only when it comes to clothes but beauty as well. One particularly interesting way of using bright color is on the eyes, which makes for a fun and very tropical way of adorning your lids. Vivid eyeliners and shadows lit up the eyes at Dior's spring 2011 show, where makeup artist Pat McGrath used lime green fuchsia and blue creams on the lids. He pulled the look together with black liquid liner and lots of mascara. Opposite of common belief McGrath also brighten models' lips with colors of the rainbow and uses berry and orange-red hues.

Of course this look is quite exaggerated and suits the runway only. If you wish to apply the look to your everyday life, avoid using cream shadows as they are much brighter. Instead, opt for powder shadows which are less pigmented. If you like to avoid the shadow all together, choose a bright eye pencil, such as the ones from Makeup Forever's Aqua Pencils collection, which come in a variety of colors. Color your pout with a bright orange lipstick and you are ready to tackle the night (not the day, ladies!)
